10 Fab-BOO-lous Halloween Decor Ideas

Spooky Season is approaching. Time pull out the pumpkins, fake cobwebs and candy and do some decorating. We at ApartmentInspo know how tough it can be getting inspired sometimes so we compiled a list of some super easy, fun and affordable ways to make your home as fab-BOO-lously spooky as possible. 1. Light Up Pumpkins

You will want to do this project even if you have to sneak up on your kiddos trick or treat pumpkin baskets. And if that is not possible, then just visit a dollar store, and grab a few colored pumpkin baskets. Make cutouts in the pumpkins. Poke a hole at the back to put string lights. Alternatively, you can use battery lights too. 

2. Sequin Polka Dot Pumpkins

Bring glamour to your Halloween with some sparkly sequins. You will need pumpkins (you can buy white ones or paint them yourself), kraft glue and sequins. Now the fun part begins. Make circles or any shape you want with the kraft glue one by one. Cover each circle with sequins while the glue is still wet. Decorate your home with these pumpkins once the glue is dry and watch your home instantly feel more glamorous and festive.

This one is an easy last-minute DIY project. You can easily achieve this look by melted tapered red or purple candles over white pillar candles. How fun! 4. DIY Mummy Wine Bottles

Make your party table a little spooky with this DIY.
You will need some white tape and googly eyes.
You can use any type of tape. Even a bandage as long as it’s white.
Wrap the wine bottles with the tape as shown.
Finally, hot glue the eyes to the wine bottles and voila! 

5. A Skeleton Bubble Bath

Do you want to pamper a skeleton this Halloween? Well, if this idea interests you, then here is a DIY project. You can open your very own skeleton spa. Gather a bucket, some fiberfill, a few clear Christmas ornaments, and a plastic skeleton. Fill the plastic bucket with fiberfill till three fourth. Place the skeleton on the fiberfill. Put the transparent balls, and let the skeleton enjoy. 

6. A Halloween Pumpkin Garland

A garland is an easy way to decorate for holidays in a wink. Here is a pumpkin garland that you can use anywhere in your home. Either spice up your mantle or decorate the staircase railing. It is perfect for those who love rustic style decorations. You can make your DIY version too. You will need wooden pumpkins, orange glitter glue, and twine. Cover the pumpkins ornaments with orange glitter glue. Make a twine garland once the glitter is dry. You can have fun with purple, green, or black glitter too.

If you want an idea for your window or door, then you can use decals. They are cheap and easy to apply. You can give your home a haunted house feel, with this ghost vinyl decal. Stick as many as you want, and be notorious for scaring neighbors!

Put Halloween themed mason jars around your home. You can use them as porch luminaries too. These jars can be made at home too. You have to color mason jars with mod podge tints. Paste some cutouts of black paper or felt. And then throw in battery-powered Led lights. 

10. Cheesecloth Stand-Alone Ghosts

To craft these spooktacular ghosts, fix balloons on bottles with tape. Prep the surface for crafting with a wax sheet. Then cut pieces of cheesecloth. Put the cheesecloth pieces in a bowl. Soak them in fabric stiffener. Then cover the balloons with the cheesecloths. You can put a second layer of cheesecloth too. Wait for 8-10 hours. Pop the balloons and put googly eyes on the ghosts.
